Lots 10 & 11 Water Line Install, 2009

This is the dam through which the water lines, hydrant supply line, electric, cable, telephone, fiber optics conduits were directionally bored by Precision Directional Boring in March-April, 2009.  The electric, cable, telephone, fiber optics conduits were bored through the west or left side of this dam and the water and hydrant supply line were bored through the right or east side of this dam.

The water, hydrant lines were the first set to bore.  They were bored in two phases; the first in from West River Road where the water meter vaults and the hydrant vault were installed.  The second was the destination which was a location opposite the porch on the Lot 10 home near the driveway. These two lines met in a location near the green electrical transformer box by the south turnaround.

This March 24, 2009 photo is of the boring machine beginning its initial bore.

The two lines meet in the area of the south turnaround on the West River Road common drive.  Here both the water lines under the far plywood marked by the hazard tape in the center of the cleared area meet.   Also where the electric, cable, telephone and fiber optics under the plywood marked by the hazard tape next to the green electric transformer meet

This is the endpoint of the water line installed to Lot 11.  It was installed just past the property line between Lots 10 and 11.  Precision  also installed a gas line, the yellow capped line, from an area near the hydrant to an area where the Lot 10 gas line also was run from the Lot 10 home, where the meters for the gas lines would be installed.

During the installation of the water lines to Lots 10 by Precision Directional Boring, PDB,  Kodiak located the geothermal lines coming from the Lot 10 house.  The  new water line in this trench was installed through the basement cement block by Tom Hricovec of Kodiak who also performed the connection of the waterline from the capped water line installed by PDB and continuing the connection to the inside of the house so the house now had city water and would use the well water for irrigation of their gardens.

Kodiak made the connection between the water line newly installed by Precision and connected it to the Lot 10 home.  This photo shows the new line coming into the home.
